Kitsune. Jewel thief. Yes, I'm both of those things. And with my partner, Takeo, I've never encountered a job we couldn't handle.
Until we were tasked to steal the Dragon's Eye. A famous ruby held in the modern-day hoard of a real dragon.
When we're caught in the act, there's only one way out. I'm going to have to bargain with the notorious Daniel Lucifer for our freedom. But there's only one thing he wants in exchange.
Me.
The Kitsune Caper is a 8,100 word paranormal erotica short story with BDSM elements.

"Let us go."
I thought I saw a hint of a smile at the corners of his mouth. "And just why should I do that?"
"I'm sure we can come to some kind of agreement."
Takeo's head snapped up.”Akane!”
I ignored him, and it seemed everyone else was as well. "Tell me what you want."
My fellow kitsune sputtered out another protest. "Don't be mad. Everyone knows you can't trust a dragon."
"Take him out to the living room. It's obvious he doesn't know a thing about negotiations."
The men obeyed his orders without question. Lucifer locked the bedroom door behind them, then turned back to face me.
He was even more gorgeous in real life than he had been in any of those photographs. At least a foot taller than most humans and massively muscular in a way that couldn't quite be hidden in his well-tailored suit.
My body was reacting to him, my pussy responding with a renewed surge of wetness.
And I knew I couldn’t hide it from him. I saw the way his nostrils flared once more. This time accompanied by the darkening of his piercing blue eyes. I could smell his response too. His lust."I thought you smelled familiar," he said softly. "So tell me, little one. Just how long have you been hiding in my bedroom?"
Part of me immediately wanted to melt at his tone, but the rest of me would not submit so easily. I lifted my chin and felt the bonds automatically tighten once more. "Just because nature made you a giant oaf, that doesn't give you cause to call anyone else 'little.'"
He laughed softly and close his hand around my throat. He did not squeeze. He didn't have to in order to make his point. His palm was so large and his fingers were so long, that they could've easily wrapped all the way around my neck. And snap it like a twig too. "I think you're forgetting who you're speaking to."
"And you're forgetting that you're not my master."
Lucifer snorted and jabbed his finger in a general direction of the living room. "You're telling me that he is? That weakling?"
"That is not your business."
"And maybe it is. Unless you're trying to take back your offer."
I spluttered. "I didn't say anything like that."
"But that's what I want from you." He was so tall, he was easily able to reach up and touch me.Sliding his hand along the front of my skin-tight pants, which did little to hide the heat of my arousal from him. “Of course, that means you’ll still have to stay here for a while. But your friend will go free.”
I closed my eyes and bit my lip as my whole body shuddered in response to his touch. It was like fire on my skin, even through the fabric. Was that a dragon thing? I’d certainly never felt anything like it before. “F-for h-how long?”
"For as long as I want."
"No." I don't know how I found the strength to say it, but somehow I did. "I refuse to put my life on hold indefinitely, even for this."
"And just how long do you think you can hold my interest?" His rich voice was full of amusement, making my stomach flutter. "Trust me, I'll probably get bored in a shorter amount of time than it would take you to get out of prison if I decide to press charges today."
Maybe that was true, but my pride was on the line in more ways than one. Though I knew his opinion shouldn’t matter to me, I hated the arrogance that made him say he would end up being bored. The implication being that I would not let want him to let me go before then. That I would want him so much more than he would ever want me. "Give me a set amount of time, or I'm willing to take my chances."
He gave me a long, considering look, his expression one of utter disbelief. As if he couldn't believe that anyone, male or female, would ever give him the slightest bit of resistance. "I think you will be a challenge," he said softly. "So I'm thinking six months."
I forced out a laugh. "That's a ridiculously long amount of time. I thought you said you're going to get bored?"
One side of his mouth lifted into a smile. "You should be flattered."
“When my freedom is on the line, I don't have time for flattery." I took another deep breath and continued: "Three weeks."
"Six weeks."
Now I did laugh. "What is it with you and the number six, Lucifer?"
He snorted. "I don't think I've ever had a woman call me that before."
"There's a first time for everything."
"Four weeks. That's my final offer."
Four was definitely better than six, but there are other things to consider. Dangerous things. Like my heat cycle.
Still, considering the precautions I had overheard him take with his human partner, I had to assume he wouldn't do anything rash. Like getting me knocked up. "Very well," I said finally. "Four weeks."
